A well-kept suit lasts years. The surprise is that the best care often means cleaning it less, not more.
Do not over-clean
Dry cleaning every time you wear a suit wears the fabric and the structure out. For occasional wear, clean it when it is visibly soiled, smells of sweat or smoke, or at the end of the season.
Daily habits
- Empty pockets so the shape does not distort.
- Brush with a soft clothes brush to remove dust.
- Hang it on a wide, shaped hanger so the shoulders hold.
- Let it rest a day or two between wears so the fabric recovers.
Steam, do not press
Steam relaxes creases without flattening texture. Pressing directly can leave a shine on wool.
Spot treatment
For a small mark, blot with a barely damp cloth. Do not rub. For oil, wine or ink, bring it in quickly and tell us what it was.
Storage
Use a breathable garment bag, not plastic, and add cedar or neem against moths. In the monsoon, store only fully dry suits. Our suit and blazer dry cleaning costs ₹450 for a blazer, ₹650 for a 2-piece and ₹800 for a 3-piece suit.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I dry clean a suit?
Only when needed. For occasional wear, once or twice a season is usually enough, plus whenever it is visibly dirty or smells.
Why does my suit look shiny after pressing?
Direct heat can flatten the wool fibres and leave a shine. Steam it or use a pressing cloth instead.
